Simple and healthy ‘Overnight Oats’ in jar recipe

Not all peoples likes to eat oats even myself also disliked the taste of the oats. :P But then I saw this Overnight Oats recipe shared at FB. So I tried to make one. Eh it’s two actually. Hehe. And you know what, it tasted yummy! You guys should try to make it too. So simple yet healthy. It also good for diets & lower cholesterol. :)

Well, here are the ingredients. I spent less than RM15 for these ingredients:-

Quaker Instant Oatmeal 200g – RM3.71
White Raisins 30g – RM1.80
Magnolia Low Fat Milk 220ml – RM2.01
Dutch Lady Yogurt 140g – RM2.33
Chia Seed (Bought fr Boost Juice Bars) – RM2.00
1 pc Banana (Bought fr Convenient Store) – RM0.50

And you’ll need a jar. If you can’t find any jars in your house, you also can use a plastic tupperware / glass / cups.

So the process is like this:-

1) Put the oats inside the jar first. Then follow with yogurt, raisins, chia seed & chopped banana.
2) Then slowly pour your low fat milk till it covered the whole oats.
3) After that freeze your overnight oats inside your fridge.
4) Next morning you can serve it as your breakfast.

This overnight oats might taste funny. But you can put honey / sugar / sweetened milk if you want. I prefer plain cause I’m on diet. I had to cut down my sugar though. LOL

And for raisins, you can always replace it with nuts or mixed fruits which are used for baking. Use your own likes / creativity . :3

For the fruits topping, I used banana cause it’s cheap. But overnight oats with banana only lasted till 2 days. To make your overnight oats last till 5 days, you can use strawberry, cranberries, mango, grapes and apples. Hehe

And last but not least, my Overnight Oats. Sadap kan? :)
